When the idea of putting Finn Balor (then known as Fergal Devitt) and Karl Anderson together in a heel stable called 'Bullet Club' was thrown around, Anderson has since admitted that he wasn't particularly enamoured with the concept.

He was the recipient of a fairly stable babyface push at the time, and was doing more than fine as he was. Disrupting that might have been dangerous for the Machine Gun.

Luckily for Anderson, he isn't the booker and as such did the job that was asked of him. After losing to Tanahashi at Wrestling Dontaku 2013, Anderson finally turned heel by joining up with Devitt, Bad Luck Fale and Tama Tonga in putting the boots to Tanahashi.

The group was named 'Bullet Club' and would go on to become one of the most popular factions in the professional wrestling world.

It didn't work out so bad for Anderson in the end, despite his initial protestations.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
