A lot of the rumours surrounding the arrival of Karl Anderson in WWE centred on his long-time close relationship with Finn Balor, the man with whom he created the Bullet Club.

Whispers of the formation of a 'Balor Club' in NXT or WWE have been rampant ever since the beginning of the year, and the arrival of Anderson and Gallows last night brings this possibility ever closer.

Outside of the ring, Anderson and Balor are close friends. The two met in the New Japan dojo, where neither had any money and were simply two hard-working, dedicated young guys trying to make their way in the business.

They were true young boys, taking the fall in every match they took part in and paying their dues in that most intense of ways that the Japanese are famous for.

Anderson recalls that they would 'Too Sweet' each other way back then, mostly due to both being huge dorky wrestling fans. Balor's arrival and subsequent success in WWE may have had a lot to do with Anderson's acquisition, but it is difficult to deny that the Machine Gun more than deserves this spot on merit alone.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
