9 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Lesnar's UFC 200 Opponent Mark Hunt

3. He's As Tough As Hell

General toughness is a prerequisite for anyone looking to make it as a professional MMA fighter, but Hunt takes it to the extreme.

Junior dos Santos had to hit Hunt with all the force of a small country’s combined military arsenal to put him away at UFC 160, and he’s known for his ability to absorb almost inhuman levels of punishment before going down.

Hunt’s majority draw with Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva might be the perfect example of this. The two giant sluggers threw all they had at each other for the duration of their gruelling 25-minute event. Hunt took the kind of punches that would’ve knocked a lesser man’s head clean off his shoulders, but survived to tell the tale.

It takes a prolonged, concentrated on Hunt’s chin to send The Super Samoan to the mat. Lesnar hits hard, but his stand-up game is nowhere near as refined as some fighters in the division, and while he might land the odd punch or two, he has little chance of defeating Hunt on the feet.
