9 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Lesnar's UFC 200 Opponent Mark Hunt
4. Hunt Has Fought The Best Of The Best
Hunt’s 12-10-1 record isn’t the most impressive you’ll ever see, but his list of MMA opponents reads like a veritable who’s who of the sport’s biggest and best.
From the ruthless Brazilian savage Wanderlei Silva and de facto heavyweight MMA GOAT Fedor Emelianenko in PRIDE, to celebrated MMA boxer Junior dos Santos and current champ Stipe Miocic in the UFC, Hunt’s been fighting high-level competition since day one.
That’s not to say Hunt hasn’t had his share of disappointing losses. Sean McCorkle took full advantage of Hunt’s ring rust and complete lack of ground game to submit him in 1 minute back in 2010, and he noticeably ran out of steam towards the end of his PRIDE run, but generally speaking, you’ve got to be one hell of a fighter to topple Mark Hunt.
Lesnar’s faced a handful of decent MMA fighters too. He and Hunt have two shared opponents in Alistair Overeem and Frank Mir, but Brock hasn’t fought anything like the Murderer’s Row of talent that Hunt’s met throughout his career.
