Even smarter was the decision to grant The Miz a seventh Intercontinental Title run. Hopefully, WWE's greatest pure heel has the belt for a while, because he's absolutely golden with it and holds the thing with more distinction than anybody else in recent memory. Miz as champ is best for business.

The idea that Ambrose had to be wary of disqualification was there to be exploited, but WWE's writers penned a twist in the tale. Rather than have Dean succumb immediately to Miz's tricks, he was beaten because he spent too much time arguing with the referee about bumping into him. One Skull Crushing Finale later and Miz had the title.

It's time to wrap up Miz vs. Ambrose for the time being. As the beaten champion, Dean will probably get a rematch at Great Balls Of Fire. After that, why not move The Miz onto a feud with someone new like Finn Balor or even Seth Rollins?
