9 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Emma
4. She Had Two Main Roster Call-Ups
It is tradition that a rookie will begin their WWE career down in Florida's NXT, before eventually earning a call-up to either Raw or SmackDown a year or two down the road. Once on the main roster, they can generally claim to have served their wrestling apprenticeship.
But that wasn't what happened with the company's first ever Australian female wrestler. Originally debuting on the main roster in 2014 - where she struck up a friendship with the soon-to-retire Santino Marella - Emma was soon demoted 12 months later.
She returned to the developmental ranks essentially having to publicly make the admission that she wasn't yet ready for a stint in the big time. Another year in NXT then followed, during which time many of her contemporaries went the other direction.
This decision could have gone either way, but given that she has now been released, it doesn't seem to have helped her chances any.
