9 Things You Learn Binge Watching Every WWE SmackDown From 2004

7. 2 Other Eddie Matches Stick Out

So, mind you, do 2 of his other matches from '04.

Guerrero was brand new WWE Champ when he wrestled his nephew Chavo on the 19 February SmackDown. That had to be a proud moment for the Guerreros. They'd been given the floor to show what they could do for the biggest prize in the industry. This was a long, long, long way from some of those undercard bouts on WCW pay-per-views a half decade or so before, and everyone knew it.

Kurt Angle was the special guest referee for that match, and it was he who enjoyed one of Eddie's other fab showings. On the 2 September episode of SmackDown, Guerrero and Angle produced a 2-Out-Of-3 Falls effort everyone could be chuffed with. The duo had a more famous scrap at WrestleMania XX, but was just as outstanding (if not even more so depending on individual taste).

The arch rivals went close to 30 minutes before Angle took the 2-1 victory. There will be those reading this who aren't even aware such a match exists. If you can find it, then you owe it to yourself to take in every second. It's a real pity that this 2-Out-Of-3 Falls scorcher has fallen under the radar over the years.

Come for Eddie and Chavo going 'Champion vs. Champion' (Chavito was Cruiserweight Champ at the time), then stay for 'Latino Heat' and Kurt putting on a clinic. It'd be a travesty if this wasn't sold out at the monitor backstage. Everyone on the roster, experienced or otherwise, could learn a few things from watching Guerrero and Angle collide.
