The Yes Movement wasn't in full swing in the summer of 2013, but it had enough momentum that Daniel Bryan was placed into the main event of SummerSlam, fighting John Cena for the WWE Championship. Bryan won an audience vote to face Cena, but those who voted for him probably didn't think that Bryan realistically had a hope of dethroning the champ. It was a pleasant surprise, then, when Bryan cleanly pinned Cena clean after blasting him with his short-lived finisher the Knee Plus (making its debut in the match). The preceding twenty five minutes had been scorching and had fans on the edge of their seats.
