9 Times John Cena Was The Worst WWE Babyface Ever

2. Making Out With Eve Torres

Gents, watch out for that John Cena. He might profess to stand for what’s right, but turn your back on him for a minute, and he’ll make out with your girlfriend.

Poor Zack Ryder learned that lesson the hard way in 2012 when he was involved in a relationship with Eve Torres. He also befriended Cena, which on its surface felt like a win for a superstar who struggled to get TV time despite becoming one of the more popular acts in WWE.

That friendship would lead to hardship when Cena started feuding with Kane, who decided a smart tactic would be to beat up Ryder every week, costing him his United States Championship and landing him in a wheelchair. But at least he had his relationship with Eve Torres, right? Right?

Cena managed to save Eve from Kane on Raw in February, and Torres rewarded Cena by kissing him… and then Cena kissed her back. Just to make the humiliation complete, the camera panned over to Ryder sitting in a wheelchair with roses (it was right before Valentine’s Day) to pout and lament his lot in life.

That cad Cena rebuffed Eve, but he couldn’t prevent Kane from launching Ryder off the stage in his wheelchair, adding (further) injury to insult. (Man, Vince really hated that Zack dared to get over on his own.)

Stealing a friend’s girl while the friend is down on his luck and getting beat up at work by your sworn enemy? Must be the ultimate babyface and hero to children, John Cena!
