9 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (30 Mar)

8. Daniel Garcia In A Kangol Appreciation Society

Jericho Appreciation Society
AEW

Daniel Garcia and 2point0 have fully embraced life as sports entertainers, drawing attention even when they appear as background characters. Last night's backstage segment saw Garcia don a goofy blue hat, knowing exactly how ridiculous it would make him look, while Matt Menard and Angelo Parker's manic reactions punctuated a solid promo dismissive of Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz's hopes of ever toppling them.

The babyfaces returned via the expected reveal, when a second curtain was pulled back to reveal them hiding behind. Hager ate a madball to the face before the brawl spilt into the ring, with Kingston and his guys isolated Menard, Jericho, and Garcia. They were doomed when Hager and Parker arrived back on the scene, though. Falling victim to what felt like an old-school Inner Circle gangland beatdown, the babyfaces' numerical disadvantage was on full display, suggesting, perhaps, that they may yet find allies in this new war.

While perhaps a beat or two too long, this was an effective battering from this growing heel unit, who are currently striking a great balance between goofy and dangerous.
