9 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (31 Aug)

Ups...

9. FTR & Wardlow Tune Up

FTR Wardlow
AEW/Scott Leish

FTR and Wardlow's squash of a crew of jobbers was a perfectly acceptable tune-up for All Out, where they'll face Jay Lethal and the Motor City Machine Guns.

The former Pinnacle men got the job done with minimal resistance from their opponents. In the end, Vic Capri was pinned after Wardlow conducted a two-Powerbomb Symphony for the Chicago crowd, showcasing his enduring overness.

A more substantial build would have been good for this pay-per-view match. Specifically, an in-arena appearance from Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, neither of whom have featured on AEW programming yet, would've added extra juice to a match that looks exciting on paper, but lacking in story.

Nonetheless, a good, effective television squash for the good guys.
