5. Punk Sets Sights On Team Taz

CM Punk

CM Punk wasted little time in getting into the meat of his promo here, thanking Darby Allin, Sting, and the fans for All Out, shouting out the Bryan Danielsons and Ruby Sohos as he conducted the audience as if they were an orchestra.

Though he teased a feud with Jon Moxley after asking the crowd who he should feud next, Taz interrupted from behind the announce task. Punk was understandably miffed by this. With Taz claiming he was tired of Punk's "BS love-fest" since returning, upset that Punk had previously mentioned the idea of working with Team Taz in previous interviews, Punk chopped him down with his old catchphrase, "beat me if you can, survive if I let you."

Powerhouse Hobbs and Hook flanked Taz as he spoke. There was no sign of Ricky Starks, though the reigning FTW World Champion will likely be the endgame for Punk here. That's an interesting match-up between two wrestlers whose greatest in-ring strengths are their craft and guile, continuing the returnee's theme of working primarily with younger talent on his comeback tour.
