2. Lacklustre For LFI

AEW Collision Dralistico Rush JD Drake
AEW

Ahead of their return to AEW programming, La Facción Ingobernable promised to be "killers" and bring a new intense edge to all that they do. Last week, that was somewhat on show as Rush and Preston Vance teamed with FTR to take on Ricky Starks, Big Bill, and the Gates of Agony.

This week, though? Yeah, the presentation of LFI just felt a little lacklustre.

While the actual work was solid enough, Rush and Dralistico's match against the WorkHorsemen didn't really click for a number of reasons. Firstly, if looking to establish LFI as serious players, this bout didn't need to go eight-and-half minutes. Your writer is actually a big fan of the JD Drake and Anthony Henry tandem, but a more ruthless, one-sided LFI win would've been a better call here.

Also, the work of LFI just didn't feel as aggressive as one could rightly expect from an act that's promised to return with a vicious, twisted side. For whatever reason, Rush in particular just didn't feel as crazed and intense as he's so often brilliantly shown over the years.

Fundamentally and mechanically, this match was fine, but this felt like a massive downgrade from how La Facción Ingobernable have been presented in recent weeks.

Post-match, the House of Black appeared on the the video screen to continue their issues with LFI, promising that the Kings of the Black Throne will take Starks and Bill's AEW Tag Titles at Full Gear next weekend, and that Julia Hart would earn herself another shot at Kris Statlander's TBS Title in a triple-threat contest at that PPV. Both of those matches should be fun, and the whole HOB bit was solid enough.
