9 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Oct 21)

Ups...

9. Lurking Opulence

Cody Arn Anderson
AEW

Cody's ability to glid between face and heel traits without betraying his core character (within AEW's fluid alignment series) came to the forefront in his quick parking lot interview with Dasha.

Arriving in a pristine limousine, clad in a beautiful navy blue suit, Cody wasn't surprised that AEW wanted an Orange Cassidy rematch after the time-limit draw, but 'Freshly Squeezed' couldn't beat him the first time, and he can't see him doing it next time either. With regards to his weight gain, it was time to shift. He called himself AEW's 'Giant Killer' for his matches with Brodie Lee and Jake Hager and in a light heavyweight company, he wanted to move closer to heavyweight.

Nothing groundbreaking or out-of-this-world here, but a good, strong promo from the TNT Champion nonetheless, and a glimpse at the cockiness that should ultimately lead to his demise.
