9 Ups & 2 Downs From NXT TakeOver: In Your House

6. Making The Most Of Things

Even Finn Bálor vs. Damian Priest was a winner.

That might sound slightly harsh, but this fan was 100% worried that this match would be the night's stinker - a popcorn break, if you like. Instead, it was way more exciting than it perhaps had any right to be. These guys made the most of what they had, and they also avoided stealing from later matches.

Priest's back bump on the steel ring steps was brutal, Bálor's hard work enhanced Damian's profile and Finn even got to set a new NXT record by bagging his 11th TakeOver win. That, according to motormouthed play-by-play man Mauro Ranallo, is the most in brand history to date.

This was the kind of match Priest needed. He doesn't always shine this brightly, but he benefitted big time from having someone like Bálor to glue his workmanlike bits and pieces together. Rather surprisingly, this would-be dud is well worth checking out.
