9 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (13 March)

8. Trips' Guest Commentary

Triple H Michael Cole

When he put down his microphone and joined Cole behind the announce desk, Triple H changed. He ditched the corporate spiel about WWE and returned to his D-Generation X days by pranking the living sh*t out of Michael any chance he could get.

Trips' smart-assed behaviour was hilarious.

Cole laughed off suggestions from his guest commentator that fans thought he was terrible, and Triple H added some wit to the matches by poking fun at wrestlers for "getting the sell out crowd here going". It was a lot of fun, and completely different to the typically-overproduced announcing style this company favours.

Line of the night went to 'The Game' too. He quipped, "After a promo like that from Shinsuke Nakamura, of course we can make that match" when Cole asked if he'd sanction a Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro bout later. Nakamura, by the way, hadn't said a thing during the backstage confrontation.

Top notch banter from Hunter.
