9 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Collision (July 8)

4. A Stunning Tag Team Bout

Excellent. Exceptional. Electric.

They're just three words to describe the magical tag team match put on between FTR and Bullet Club Gold.

Sure, your writer will forever moan about eliminator matches, but this match itself was a stunning showcase of tag team wrestling. FTR have long been the best tag team in the industry, and the pairing of Jay White and Juice Robinson is working extremely well since Collision launched and the Bullet Club Gold boys have been allowed more substantial TV time.

Here, we had a brilliant back-and-forth barn-burner with some amazing false finishes. In particular, FTR pulling out the old Power & Glory top rope suplex/big splash combo left many thinking the match was over. Likewise, a spike piledriver from Dax and Cash was another great near fall.

As for the finish, Harwood would end up being hit by the Juice is Loose after the FTR man lost track of who the legal man was on Bullet Club Gold's side.

A rematch between these two tandems has the potential to once again be special, and even more so with FTR defending their AEW Tag Team Titles in a two-out-of-three-falls offering against King Switch and Juice next week.
