3. The Biggest Match Of CM Punk's Career?

C'mon, Phil...

While CM Punk opened AEW Collision with some words to hype his upcoming match against Samoa Joe and to, let's face it, pander to the Regina crowd, one line in particular felt 'off' from the Second City Saint.

Yes, CM Punk had never beaten Samoa Joe. Yes, CM Punk vs. Samoa Joe in the Owen was a huge deal. Yes, Samoa Joe is the proverbial white while for CM Punk. But to call this Collision contest the biggest match of CM Punk's career? Steady on, there.

Punk has obviously competed in major matches on major events and has challenged - and won - World Titles on numerous occasions. To call this Collision match the biggest of the Straight-Edge Superstar's career felt like a massive stretch and came across as disingenuous.

A minor misstep in an otherwise solid promo from Punker. Tell me when I'm telling lies, right?
