9 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (2 Nov)

2. House Of Black? Alright.

Malakai Black
AEW

Your mileage may vary on House Of Black or any lore-adjacent acts anyway, but is there not a more salient argument to be made that the spooky nonsense has failed the trio enough that they should perhaps try something else instead?

It was newsworthy that leader Malakai Black will be returning to the fold. Relations between performer and promotion looked to be shaky following All Out 2022, despite Black's later efforts to quell speculation that he'd inadvertently stirred. But the welcome break for the group only facilitating this symbolic rebirth didn't exactly inspire.

Julia Hart buried them so they could rise again or whatever, and though a daft reincarnation as a boyband or something else absurd wasn't the play, a shift away from some of the well-worn goth stuff might have been a little bit more encouraging.
