9. Dante Martin In The Spotlight

A couple of things were set up for Dante Martin last night, which is deserved. The Top Flight man has been a standout performer in his increased Dynamite opportunities as of late - and it's nice to see that rewarded.

Malakai Black ambushed Martin during an in-ring interview with Tony Schiavone, answering Dante's open challenge by dropping him with a roundhouse kick. Later, Lio Rush cut a promo on the up-and-comer, offering to take his money and career to the next level, furthering the cash-spinning gimmick he established this week.

A developing but exciting prospect, Martin's ceiling is stratospheric and it seems he will be given every opportunity to hit it in AEW. His will be a slow, careful rise to the top, and he doesn't need to win immediately, but the Rush angle has intrigue and the bout with Black will surely bang.
