9 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (27 May)

Downs...

3. Sixty Minutes Of Fame

Right, there’s a slight caveat to this; Josh Alexander and TJP’s sixty-minute Iron Man match on next Thursday’s Before The IMPACT is going to be intense. So long as they go down the route of actually going balls to the wall, rather than the route of Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XII, it’s going to be incredible.

The only thing holding this back is that it’s going down on Before The IMPACT.

It makes sense in a way. It’ll make BTI feel must-see, (hopefully) making more viewers tune in. While the ending of the contest has been confirmed to occur at the beginning of next week’s IMPACT on AXS TV episode, this isn’t enough. Why not have it all on IMPACT? Or even Against All Odds on 12 June?

Again, it’ll be a banger, and BTI could do with something like this to actually make it worthwhile. It just shouldn’t be this match, though. This deserves a grand stage, not some secondary show that, while produced tremendously well, simply isn’t on the level of a full-fat IMPACT episode.
