9 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Aug 11)

Downs...

3. That's Bad

In the second half of Wrestle House footage this week, we were ‘treated’, if you really want to call it that, to Susie taking on Alisha Edwards. Why? Because according to Susie, Alisha gave her bad dating advice with regards to Cousin Jake when in reality, the Deaner cousin ran off after witnessing Susie temporarily transform back into Su Yung.

The story was pointless, and the match afterwards was certainly the worst Wrestle House match thus far. Not necessarily a huge accomplishment, seeing as the matches at Tommy Dreamer’s investment property haven’t been that entertaining, but it was one of those things that didn’t need to happen. A short match (thankfully) saw Susie secure the nine count from referee Crazzy Steve. Not the best choice to play the man in stripes.

With Taya Valkyrie vs. Kylie Rae seemingly being scheduled for next week, perhaps we’re about to see an actually amazing match on the Wrestle House premises. As for this week, however, that’s anything but the case.

Despite its name, Wrestle House needs to be more about the stories rather than the matches.
