9 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling Hard To Kill 2022
5. Honor Is Real
First off, what sort of a group is Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Maria Kanellis-Bennett, PCO, and Vincent? It's odd and doesn't really work. It would have sufficed with just the former trio; PCO was only there for a pop, while Vincent was there for... actually, there was no reason. He just was.
Secondly - Christ, this could be amazing.
Moments after Heath, Rhino, Rich Swann, Willie Mack, and Eddie Edwards' victory in the Hardcore War, they were jumped by Taven and Bennett, with Vincent and PCO later joining the fray. The OGK were the stars of the beatdown, executing a spike Piledriver that commentary put over as being banned in numerous North American States, while PCO dove onto an apron-prone Rich Swann, narrowly avoiding a clear miss.
What, exactly, follows is yet to be revealed, but one would assume a slight - or fully-fledged - Ring Of Honor invasion. This could easily form the next three months of IMPACT television, leading into ROH's first show back over WrestleMania weekend being an IMPACT co-promoted venture.
Regardless, this was cool. Taven and Bennett standing with the IMPACT World Tag Team Championships is a clear sign of where their priorities currently lie.
On a totally unrelated note...
