9 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 17)
7. Anyone But TJP
After being repeatedly antagonised by the reigning X Division Champion, Rohit Raju, Scott D'Amore made it clear to TJP that per the contracts, he could never challenge for the title again as long as it was held by 'The Desi Hitman'. Literally any other person, name, or persona could, but not TJP.
Theoretically, this means Manik could.
For those unaware, Manik was the name given to the Suicide character in 2013 when Austin Aries had stolen the costume to capture this very title, with TJP being revealed as the then-real Suicide/Manik. We saw the Manik persona resurface for a one-off appearance at the TNA special in March, where he teamed with Suicide. If this was anything to go by, we'll be getting another return of the masked man, something that adds a much-needed bit of intrigue to the whole "TJP can't challenge Rohit" story.
