9 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 6)

1. Meaningless Hype

When EC3 returned to Impact Wrestling at the conclusion of Slammiversary, there was a huge buzz around it. Fans of 'The Essential Character' knew that he had been amazing in his first run with the company, so what could go wrong?

Terrible booking, apparently.

First and foremost, this storyline with Moose over the TNA World Heavyweight Championship had the potential to be outstanding, and for a while, it was getting there. But then, we sat week after week, listening to the same EC3 promo and Moose complaints that things got stale quicker than the time it takes for R-Truth to regain the WWE 24/7 Championship.

EC3's funeral for the title is what was going to redeem the story, surely. That's when 'Mr Impact Wrestling' was finally going to get his hands on EC3, right? Wrong. EC3 simply tossed the title off a bridge and left. No Moose to be found.

Considering all the hype that had been put into this, you would have assumed more effort would have come from this crucial point in the story. Ring Of Honor revealed that EC3 would be coming in this past Monday - please say he didn't just come back to Impact as a way of removing the TNA title from programming.
