9 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (Sept 26)

1. The Battle Continues

If we have to nitpick somewhere, then it has to be the never-ending battle between Edge and the group he created, Judgment Day.

Finn Balor and company seemingly took Edge out three weeks ago, destroying his knee. That felt like a way to write him off for a good while, and maybe finally put this rivalry on ice for a bit.

Instead, Edge sprinted – yes, sprinted – down to ringside when Judgment Day was beating up Matt Riddle at the end of Raw. He speared Balor and Damian Priest, then challenged Finn to an I Quit match at Extreme Rules.

The beatdown a few weeks ago only knocked him out of action for two weeks, and we’re right back into the “Edge tries to kill what he created” storyline. It isn’t that great of a story. But fans loved seeing the Hall-of-Famer, and the match will probably be great, so there’s there.
