9 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Collision (July 1)

1. Adam Cole Ignoring Samoa Joe

Yes, your best friend is in the ring and on a stretcher after a vicious post-match assault and having been put to sleep prior to that, but it felt a little off for Adam Cole to run right past Samoa Joe as he made his way to the ring to check on Roderick Strong.

By this point, Strong had plentiful of medical personnel around him, plus CM Punk checking on him. From a logic standpoint, there was absolutely zero that Cole could've done to help Roddy's situation here.

Instead, what Adam Cole could have done, was lay a shot or two on Samoa Joe as he jogged past him on the entrance ramp. If this man had just put a beating on your buddy which left your pal needing medical assistance, maybe you'd fancy getting a little bit of payback on Strong's behalf, no?

Sure, we'll likely have Joe and Cole butting heads in the weeks to come, but it felt odd that the former Undisputed Era leader wouldn't have confronted the Samoan Submission Machine rather than literally run around Samoa Joe to head to the ring.

This is admittedly only a small quibble, but it's one that made Adam Cole look a little foolish prior to AEW Collision going off the air.
