9 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (2 Feb)

5. Best Hand In The House

Larry D, fresh out of his jail cell, destroyed Crazzy Steve this week. Arguably, the match should have been a squash to emphasise Larry's built-up frustrations from being in prison, but what we got was still a decent affair.

Steve did his best here to keep Larry grounded by biting and jumping on the superheavyweight, taking a multitude of slams and suplexes for his troubles. A neat belly to belly suplex was a tasty treat out of Larry's breadbasket, as was the Best Hand In The House knockout punch he utilised to knock Steve out. It's a simple enough manoeuvre, but it perfectly suits a gritty fighter like Larry D.

XXXL were hesitant to then knock out Steve's Decay pal Rosemary post-match, but the damage had been done. Crazzy Steve had been knocked silly (sillier?), Larry D cemented himself as one of Impact's most dangerous stars, and a potential match was then set for No Surrender - XXXL and Tenille Dashwood vs. Decay and a partner of their choosing. A minor Down for the continuation of the tedious Tenille vs. Rosemary story, but in every other aspect, this was a fun match.
