9 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (5 Jan)

8. Ethan Page Vs. The Karate Man Is Happening

It's actually happening. Ethan Page vs. The Karate Man is an actual pay-per-view match scheduled for 2021.

'All Ego' spoke to The Karate Man backstage in a sort of therapist-esque skit. Claiming to be sick of everyone else blaming him as the problem, Ethan insisted he's one of the company's best wrestlers ever (a fair point), and challenged the karate expert to a bout at Hard To Kill.

In case you haven't been able to work it out yet, The Karate Man is Ethan Page. An alter ego created by Page throughout 2020 that has since become a cult hit on the independent scene. How Impact's production team manage to pull this one off remains to be seen, but with no live audience in attendance, anything is possible, really.

Of course, Page himself has been able to pull off such a feat in a match between himself and The Karate Man that was posted to YouTube over the new year period. It wasn't a clean edit as it's a physically impossible thing to do without the expertise, but this could be genuinely be something huge for Impact Wrestling if it's executed successfully.
