9 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (7 Oct)
5. Oh Rhino, Where Art Thou?
Rhino was conspicuous by his absence last night, failing to appear once as Heath was laid out by Violent By Design. This enhanced the story more than it could have had Rhino ultimately emerged.
Heath called Rhino out to the ring, addressing how he hadn't heard from the War Machine since the previous November. His calls, emails, and tweets all went unnoticed; it was a heartbreaking moment for Heath. This was backed up by Eric Young leading his gang to the ring, demanding Heath step down as this heroic friend. The Rhino that Heath knew is now dead. He belongs to Violent By Design.
When Heath first punched Joe Doering, the end result was never a surprise. He was left laying, having the VBD flagpole lashed off his back, before having the flag symbolically draped across his prone body.
The Eric Young-helmed group is slowly getting their killer edge back to them, which is overdue. They'd been trodding along in recent months, so it's nice to see them finally getting back to actually being what their name suggests. As for what Rhino's next intentions are, it's actually an intriguing story. You legitimately don't know. These sorts of stories are intended to hook you in, something IMPACT has achieved. Solid and it makes sense.
