9 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (7 Oct)

1. Rushing Through The Motions

IMPACT Wrestling traditionally does a stellar job in previewing upcoming bouts like this, but for Knockouts Knockdown's tournament, it didn't work. Featuring Tasha Steelz, Savannah Evans, and Mercedes Martinez against Kimber Lee, Brandi Lauren, and Lady Frost, the bout was a clunky mess that seemed to rush through its spots, not giving anything the appropriate amount of time to shine.

An early botch of a victory roll from Frost began this. Later in the match, Kimber's title-a-whirl backbreaker to Tasha didn't quite land right. She connected with the move in the sense that her knee went into the spine of Steelz, but it was an untidy execution. The former Abbey Laith made a habit of this throughout the match, moving slower to get over the new undead schtick, but it's not working. It was a detriment to the match.

Tasha ended up rolling up Kimber for the win after refusing to tag Mercedes Martinez back into the match, causing some friction on her side. This would have worked, had there been more of a story to it other than Tasha refusing to make the tag once. Perhaps she should have nudged her or something to add some flavour. It needed it; this didn't click.
