9 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Feb 25)
7. Shooting Shots
Impact Wrestling are going back in time for one night only as Total Nonstop Action returns on 3 April. It's one of the more anticipated events of the whole weekend, but details about the show haven't been mentioned too much on Impact - until now.
Gabby Loren was joined by Petey Williams and Scott D'Amore, two members of the legendary Team Canada faction, who had some joys to express about going back in time to where it all began. That alone was an Up. Just speaking about the show was enough to point more eyes towards the 3 April show, especially when it's two guys who were actually there during that time period. When Moose came into frame though, the Up was pushed up the list a little.
'Mr Impact Wrestling' says they shouldn't be going back in time considering the company is at a high once again. When 'The Canadian Destroyer' listed some names that were made because of TNA - Amazing Red, Chris Harris, Suicide, et al. - Moose refused to acknowledge they were as good as he is. That's when Williams made a snarky comment - at least they were champions.
While that doesn't technically make sense, seeing as Moose is a former Grand Champion, it added something to the TNA throwback show that was very much needed to remind non-social media fans that "hey, this is a thing that's happening". Just don't expect to see Moose taking a Canadian Destroyer anytime soon.
