9 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Money In The Bank 2022

3. Nobody Bought It

Literally nobody inside MGM thought Natalya was beating Ronda Rousey.

The veteran just never came across as a threat to the SmackDown Women's Title at all, and that meant the match largely played before silence. Fans, who had been hot for everything else all night, barely stirred. It's also notable that WWE put Ronda's last big title defence in the pay-per-view death spot.

Rousey and Nattie outright failed to electrify too. They worked a slow, plodding and fairly boring match that seemed to last 45 minutes. This was an off night for both, and living proof that WWE should never book them opposite one another again. Been there, done that - bought the t-shirt, binned it.

It was hard to take Natalya seriously when she went for a Sharpshooter outside the ring on the apron as well. What the hell was she thinking there? Even the referee looked slightly taken aback by what was happening, and was hesitant to count.
