9 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Money In The Bank 2022

1. An Obvious Finish

Ooft. This could split opinion, but here goes.

This writer has zero hate for a heel winning Money In The Bank. Like, at all. It's also not a problem that Theory was the man handpicked to haul down that case and pose for a tongues out selfie with it atop the ladder. He's a generational talent, and he's the future of this company.

However, it was obvious that Theory was going to win from the moment Adam Pearce rocked out to put him in the match last-minute. That, sadly, made it harder to get invested in teases for Riddle, Seth Rollins and others. This was always going to be Theory's night - that's why he was there.

The fact that the brash young heel had dropped his United States belt to Bobby Lashley only made it even more obvious. Now, obvious finishes aren't always the worst, but even a blind man could see this one coming a mile away, and that took some shine off the main event.
