9 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Mar 25)

4. Let Us Know

Luchasaurus Wardlow
AEW

The Lucha Brothers were supposed to fight Best Friends in a parking lot brawl last night. AEW filmed an angle for it after Pentagon and Fenix had bested Chuck Taylor in Trent in a regular tag bout last week, with Best Friends p*ssed, yet the brawl didn't happen. Similarly, the advertised Wardlow vs. Luchasaurus match didn't go down either.

Adapting to the current global situation is tough, particularly as things can change by the hour. This is probably why neither bout took place. Wardlow and Luchasaurus' Lumberjack stipulation would have been impossible anyway.

... but still, just let us know. Just acknowledge that certain things aren't going to go down and explain the circumstances. Otherwise, it feels cheap. Tony Khan did a good job of outlining why, exactly, Blood and Guts had to be postponed last week, so why not have Tony Schiavone or another staffer acknowledged the lack of Wardlow/Luchasaurus and Best Friends/Lucha Brothers on the broadcast?
