9 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Sept 18)

6. NINE! NINE! NINE!

At the inaugural WrestleMania, King Kong Bundy squashed Special Delivery Jones in an announced nine seconds (even though it went longer, but who the f*ck watched the clock during matches in 1985?), and NXT proved how well the old tricks still worked 35 years later in what proved to be Cameron Grimes' best night so far.

In this column last week, your writer noted how the double stomp finisher was the only over element of Grimes' act, and Triple H appeared to agree here. Hiding just about every other unfinished element of the gimmick - apart from the hat, they clearly love that hat - this squash present the Breakout Tournament finalist as a clear and present danger, even if he's not likely to be too close to the main event scene any time soon.
