...what an incredibly lazy way to end this historic edition of the black-and-gold brand.

In partial defence of it, there was at least an "NXT" chant throughout as the audience appeared to be willing cast members for the set piece the company was attempting to create. It was just too hard to not to view the whole thing as a giant forced cop-out though, particularly as Mauro Ranallo cycled through all of his synonyms and the show trickled off the air without a grand payoff or at least somebody staring from a distance viewing the chaos ensuing.

In a post-show segment for WWE.com, William Regal booked a Riddle/Dain rematch for next week, but he may as well have arranged a 20-man tag instead. They were all as faceless and insignificant as each other by the end.
