Matt Riddle is as awesome as Killian Dane is good at pretending to be, but like the rest of this programme, NXT's first main event of its new era failed to click like just about every other brawl they've had thus far.

Yes, it's admirable to watch 'The Original Bro' in particular throw himself into a hardcore environment that clearly suits the former Sanity man (and your writer had a lot of time for the spot in the Full Sail car park paying tribute to Kevin Nash's famous lawn-darting of Rey Mysterio), but the match breaking down into an equally disappointing brawl wasn't too much of a heartbreaker, all things considered.

And as for that brawl...
