9 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (29 Nov)

1. Like Fireflies Around Sh*t, Part 3

The Fiend Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan made a noble attempt at making sense of the evening he'd had watching all of Bray Wyatt's bullsh*t, setting up yet another Universal Championship match as well as finally opening himself up to bringing the YES! Movement back.

"Your passion, your voice, your energy made me realise the person I should have been all this time" was a genuinely lovely line from Bryan and it triggered the exact response - fans gave him the monosyllabic entry way for Bryan to formerly rehabilitate it.

The satisfaction in the building was palpable when Bryan got involved too. Bray speaking of "new energy" and "true form" in yet another Firefly Fun House even bordered on being interesting until the promise of a "new face" resulted in The Fiend appearing from underneath the ring to drag him down.

After a bit of struggle, he appeared to rip some of Bryan's hair out and stare the locks as they lay listless on what was left of the canvas. Other than realising that The Fiend mask can pull an O Face, it was hard to discern what might come next other than the Challenger going bald and beardless.

Which...well, he's done that before anyway. Pass. "Let Me In", Hurt, Heal, buy the new belt etc.
