9 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Nov 27)

Ups...

9. Before The B*llocks

While much of what WWE had The Miz do last night was tedious, his and The New Day's early-show backstage segment was alright.

A decent way to kill a few minutes, it saw the entertaining quartet bantering back and forth, starting with a couple of Marine 6 jibes. 'The A-Lister' buried the trio for bragging about winning a Survivor Series bout that "didn't count," then announced he was going to see Shane McMahon about setting a match up, before Big E inadvertently outed himself as a "closet Mariner."

E's questionable taste in movies aside, this had enough personality to carry it until the Ups column. It was a typical New Day outing and nothing anyone needs to go out of their way to check out, but such light, breezy segments are what helps separate SmackDown from Raw. They're certainly preferable to Drake Maverick p*ssing on robes.
