9 Ups & 6 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 11)

1. Too Far

Just when oVe were standing tall to close the show, their worst nightmare arrived at the building. Brian Cage had been bailed out of jail, and he was heading straight for the ring.

Jake Crist was laid out on the ramp, Madman Fulton was downed after suffering an F5, and Dave Crist was choked out by the World Champion. All that remained was Cage and Sami Callihan, who had rolled in behind the 'Machine' and whacked him with a steel chair, which Cage was entirely unfazed by. Before he knew it though, oVe pounced, and Brian Cage found himself handcuffed to the ropes.

What came after this was sickening to say the least. Melissa Santos ran in to prevent Sami from seriously injuring her husband with a baseball bat, only to be spiked into the mat with a piledriver for her troubles. The fury that came across Cage's face following this spoke volumes.

This was already quite a personal rivalry but now, Sami Callihan's pulled the ultimate stunt on his Bound For Glory opponent. Not only did he lay his hands on Cage's wife and spike her on her head, but he did so while Cage was being forced to watch. What has to go through your mind before you pull something like that? For Sami Callihan - nothing. It's the type of guy he is.

Thankfully, we've only got one more week to see these two men lock horns over the World Championship. It's not even about the championship by this stage though. It's about retribution for Brian Cage.
