Though this is nobody's fault in particular, the Hardy Boyz being forced to vacate the SmackDown Tag Team Championships stinks. It can't not be a Down.

Jeff Hardy got hurt while wrestling on a recent house show. WWE smartly turned this into "Jeff was injured by Lars Sullivan," building heat between the Hardys and SmackDown's new monster, with the damage severe enough to force the veterans into dropping the straps. They announced this during their interview Kayla Braxton. "I'm going to be out for a long time," Jeff said, with Matt coming close to tearing up as he addressed it.

This really, really sucks. It leaves the SmackDown tag division decimated, with Heavy Machinery now the de facto top babyface team, and robs us of a fun title run that could've been used to establish much-needed credibility in this new-look division. Then there's the human factor of seeing on of SD's most beloved stars go down... and yeahhhhh, this is awful.

Get well soon, Jeff.
