6. Dunne Sits Down To Talk Titles And The Future

In the latest Arash Markazi sit-down conversation to grace the NXT product, Pete Dunne was the star in the hot seat.

When asked who he'd like to see step up to the plate and challenge his claim of being the baddest man in NXT, Dunne defiantly stated that he has just about every champ the brand had to offer's number. That being said, it's clear the Bruiserweight still has his eyes firmly set on Karrion Kross' top title.

Though the interview itself felt honest and much more natural compared to your usual sound bite backstage segment, we didn't actually learn anything new from Markazi's chat with the former NXT UK Champion. Dunne wants the NXT title, he's been influenced by the likes of Fit Finlay and many others whilst travelling the world, and he doesn't care what the hell you at home think about his methods.

As far as giving the star something to do whilst Kross and Balor gear up for one more round, though, this was an adequate way of keeping him in the running without muddying the main event waters too much. Also, judging from Bobby Fish's comments later in the night, it looks like Dunne could have bigger fish to fry in the near future...
