5. Wolfe Fails, Feels The Wrath Of Imperium

After being pushed back a week due to an unexpected illness, Alexander Wolfe finally met old pal Killian Dain in the squared circle on last night's show.

An understandably cautious Drake Maverick accompanied his current partner to the ring, with Imperium doing the same as you felt another twist in this always-evolving tale was on the horizon. And, sure enough, after a chair was introduced by Marcel Barthel, an at-first reluctant Wolfe found himself being obliterated by a crossbody as Dain came away with a victory in the short and sweet affair.

Clearly not satisfied by their ally's lack of conviction, Marthel and Fabian Aichner pulverised Wolfe soon after with an Imperium Bomb, no doubt executing WALTER's orders should Wolfe fail to achieve the goal he set out for him on the night.

Could this now set up Wolfe joining forces with his former SAnitY buddy and Maverick going forward? If we've learned one thing from the black and gold show over the last few years, it's that those in charge don't half enjoy an odd couple, so why not go all in on an odd trio? Just imagine the theme song.
