In the latest reminder of just how STACKED the NXT men's tag team division currently is, Legado del Phantasma went up against the team of ol' man Ciampa and 'Toothless' Timmy Thatcher last night in something of an eliminator match to decide MSK's next challengers.

Ramping up the intensity from the get-go, Ciampa would deliver a sickening forearm to Raul Mendoza, busting open the star and setting the tone for the violence to come. A spell of Thatch and Ciampa dominance would follow as the pair locked in various brutal submissions, even simultaneously ankle locking the luchadores at one stage in the contest.

Legado are no pushovers, though, and the two dug deep to unleash a performance unlike anything we'd seen of them so far, matching their typically savage adversaries blow-for-blow in a pulsating showcase. This highly competitive battle would ultimately come to a head when Joaquin Wilde was very nearly dispatched with a Willow's Bell, only for Mendoza to break up the pin and the Grizzled Young Veterans to make their presence known shortly after.

One Russian leg sweep/enziguri combo later, Legado were having their hands raised for the victory. The fallout of this match alone promises at least two more spectacular wars, with MSK vs. Legado for the NXT tag belts and GYV vs. Thatch and Ciampa II both being capable of stealing any show on the horizon.
