9 Ups And 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 6 )

8. Kofi Sasses The Boss

There aren’t many wrestlers who can talk down to a McMahon on camera. Unless it’s part of an ongoing feud, you just don’t see superstars mouth off to Vince, Stephanie or Shane regularly, no matter how outrageous they’re acting.

That’s why it was gratifying to see Kofi Kingston immediately give lip to Vince after coming out on Raw Monday night. Kingston showed up to rebut Daniel Bryan’s whining about his “fluke” loss at WrestleMania and his desire to commune with the chairman.

Kofi told Bryan to “forget the McMahons” and focus on the WWE Champion, pretty clearly dismissing the boss (who he earlier told to chill when he got in the ring). Later, when McMahon “came up” with his Wild Card Rule (trademark pending), Kingston snorted at him, “OK, whatever you need to tell yourself.”

It wasn’t on par with Roman Reigns telling Vince to watch his mouth, but it was good to see after everything Kofi went through with McMahon previously that he wasn’t giving an inch.
