Let’s give it up to Kofi Kingston, who successfully defended his WWE Championship against Daniel Bryan and kept the fans into the action after a brutal third hour of Raw.

Kingston’s fairytale reign will continue for at least a couple more weeks, as Bryan lost clean to a Trouble in Paradise after a series of reversals. The match itself was pretty good, with Kofi taking some abuse from Bryan but staying in the match with some well-timed comebacks. You almost forget after years in a tag team how smooth he is. At one point, Bryan tried to whip Kofi into the stairs, and his simply vaulted to the top rope and hit a rebound clothesline to the floor, almost in one fluid motion.

No one thinks Kofi is going to be a long-term champ, but hearing the reaction from fans and seeing him have another good match with Bryan makes you think he could keep this momentum a little longer.

Regardless, it was a nice way to end a dismal, aggravating Raw.
