When the New Day lost their Raw Tag Team Championships last week, it was a big deal. It marked the end of an era for the tag division.

But it wasn’t the entire ending, as the now-former champs were entitled to a rematch against Cesaro & Sheamus. And that time came Monday night… with New Day falling short again. That should (in theory) close the chapter on New Day’s title reign and send them back to the drawing board, which is what kind of needs to happen at this point.

There’s a chance that we could see the trio squirm their way back into another title shot before fading to the background, but Monday’s loss gave a feel of finality to this program. New Day has had a hell of a run, and it’ll be interesting to see where they go from here.
