5. Cruiserweights Get Angle Development

You might think that the lack of solid in-ring action would be a detriment to the cruiserweights this week, but it actually worked out far better to have the storyline advancements we got instead.

Since returning to WWE last week, Neville has been on a tear, declaring himself the King of the Cruiserweights. He took down TJ Perkins in a straightforward match and then threw down the challenge to Rich Swann for the Cruiserweight Championship on 205 Live. Swann came out later and squashed Ariya Daivari and accepted the challenge.

Neville, however, wasn’t content with just that. He jumped the champ and beat him down, delivering a Red Arrow to Swann’s back. Just like that, Neville has been established as a despicable heel, and Swann now a wounded hero. The in-ring action was a letdown, but kudos for getting personalities into the spotlight.

Now, if we could do something about that in-ring stuff…
