Uggh. One of the worst justifications for a heel turn is the non-justification.

We got it when Seth Rollins turned on The Shield. And we got it Monday night when Sasha Banks opted to talk about her blue hair and simply say, “You’re welcome” for attacking Natalya and Becky Lynch last week.

Banks’ shocking return after four months away from WWE and subsequent heel turn was one of the better moments on Raw in a while and could serve to reboot The Boss after her career had stalled. A good promo laying the foundation on Monday could have really solidified her standing. All she needed was to deliver a reason – fans didn’t chant for her enough, Bayley didn’t retweet her enough, Becky’s “The Man” gimmick is too close to The Boss – but we got nothing.

Of course, if Banks’ silence was masking a later action, then that would mute – but not eliminate – this criticism… we’ll have to stay tuned.
